| TURNER LEAVES BRIT INSURANCE AS TWO UNITS MERGE |

Jonathan Turner is leaving as CEO of Brit Re with immediate effect. The announcement came as Brit Insurance announced the merging of it reinsurance and global markets business units into a single operation called Brit Global Specialty. Matthew Wilson, currently CEO of Global Markets, will lead Brit Global Specialty. The new unit will be divided into four divisions. Long Tail Insurance will be headed by Stephen Moss. Short Tail Insurance will be run by John King. Long Tail Reinsurance will be headed by Simon Bird, while Short Tail Reinsurance will be run by Jon Sullivan. Brit Insurance said that Mr Turner had previously indicated his desire "to seek fresh challenges". The company noted that under Mr Turner's leadership Brit Insurance's relationship with Lloyd's had improved significantly. The company wished him well for the future.
