The inaugural Insurance Technology Congress (ITC 2011) proved to be a success with nearly 250 in attendance.
Topics covered a wide range of issues impacting the industry from London Market reform updates and data

This new event, hosted jointly by ACORD and Insurance Day magazine, was
held at the brand new Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London recently on
October 11 and 12.
ACORD President & CEO Gregory A. Maciag opened the event. He
emphasized the importance of looking towards the future as well as the
need and value for feedback from the industry. As he discussed the
future, he described ACORD's 2020 initiative and the role that will play
in the ACORD Standards and implementations of the future.
This new event, hosted jointly by ACORD and Insurance Day magazine, was
held at the new (and almost completed) Grange Tower Bridge in London on
October 11 and 12.
That kicked off two days of insightful sessions bringing technology and
business together, both with an eye to the industry's future. Speakers
came from the London Market as well as from around the world including
the US, Europe, and Australia.
"This first year together with Insurance Day proved to be very
successful and beneficial to those in attendance. We were pleased with
how the event went and the positive feedback we received from both
delegates and sponsors," said Roy Laker, Vice President, London Office
for ACORD.
