Scyllogis Consulting have recently become a member of ACORD as a solution provider. With ACORD now being seen as the accepted standard for data transmission within the insurance market (organisations should certainly not consider using anything else in any new system integration initiatives), it was vital that Scyllogis became a member to allow us access to the messaging structures, the technical support and ongoing assistance and support provided from ACORD to its members.
As insurance organisations look to improve efficiency by trading electronically, whether that is automatic clearance of submissions, electronic placing, accounting and settlement or the processing of delegated underwriting bordereaux, ACORD will be and should be the definitive messaging structure used to process the data.
In order to continue provision of ‘leading edge’ system integration services based around ACORD standards we thought it was essential that Scyllogis became members of ACORD. Our membership will give access to ACORD Standards and supporting documentation, assistance in implementing them, and a voice in their development in response to our customer’s business needs.
ACORD membership is a strategic decision for Scyllogis that positions us to define or enhance our client’s business strategy through the participation, development and implementation of industry standards based on their priorities.
As members, Scyllogis will now be able to play a more active role in the development and implementation of these standards. ACORD membership provides Scyllogis with access to a range of ACORD Standards, Member Services and Members' Only access to specialist information to assist in the implementation of the standards. Membership will also assure Scyllogis with an active voice in the prioritisation, development, maintenance and management of ACORD Standards.
Scyllogis’ membership of ACORD strengthens our ability to leverage ACORD standards to facilitate all forms of electronic data messaging between insurance organisations.
