Scyllogis Consulting Announces New Partnership with edge IPK
Wednesday, 16 November 2011

New partnership helps integration of edgeConnect into London market clients’ existing systems landscape

edgeIPK

Scyllogis Consulting are pleased to announce that they have formed a new strategic partnership with edge IPK, a provider of software solutions to the financial services markets, to support the introduction of their User Experience Platform, edgeConnect , into the London market, reinsurance and larger commercial insurance sectors.

edge IPK has unparalleled experience in the financial services sector with an enviable global customer base which includes Allianz, ABN AMRO, Arista Insurance, Deutsche Bank, LV= and Zurich Financial Services.  Forming a partnership with edge IPK demonstrates the high regard Scyllogis has for both their product, edgeConnect, and their corporate ethos.

edgeConnect, which solves the challenges of delivering insurance processing to all distribution channels and devices already has global demonstrable success with retail insurance carriers or brokers to create, visualise, deploy & maintain a single user view into multiple back-end solutions, extending insurance processing to other channels as needed.  Its application has been proven to enable rapid time to market and meet business demands through the ability to create and deliver multiple user experiences.  edgeConnect was developed with the legacy environment in mind, enabling the users to take advantage of their existing systems environment and deliver new user experiences including Agency, Broker, Insured, TPA, Mobile, and White Label.  edgeConnect is a cost effective, low risk approach built to meet the demands of a changing market.

“Through this partnership edge IPK and Scyllogis will acquire complementary skills, technologies and expertise, but more importantly, Scyllogis’ specialism within the London Market, reinsurance and commercial insurance sectors, will ensure this unique marketplace will soon start to benefit from the edgeConnect proposition”, said Colin Whickman, Director of Scyllogis Consulting. “edgeConnect will give legacy systems a new lease of life and enable their deployment to serve new distribution channels as well as deliver a more refined and efficient user experience for internal staff.  Additionally the partnership will provide Scyllogis Consulting the opportunity to supply their data management expertise to edge IPK’s current and future customer base, to ensure mutual and ongoing project success”, Colin added.

Mike Williams, CEO edge IPK said ‘London Market Insurers needs to lookat ways in which to gain a competitive edge in what is becoming an increasingly internationalised insurance industry.  Insurers need a platform that will provide agility to launch new products, provide a first class client experience for brokers and customers and that will accommodate changing market requirements.  By partnering with Scyllogis Consulting we can provide the London Market with a solution based on edgeConnect that will enable them to do this rapidly and cost effectively in comparison to other approaches.”
